Mergeland Alice’s Adventure is a mobile game developed by Gaming Laboratory.
Inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, the main character is a girl called Ally (supposedly a descendant of Alice). Like her ancestor, she fell through the rabbit hole only to find Wonderland deep in fog. She must help the White Queen and other characters to rebuild Wonderland.
I like that tutorials on how to play the game is weaved into the game itself. New knowledge, characters, recipes, ingredients, mines, resources, quests, and challenges are revealed as you progress through the game.
Quick Links
Here are some of the tips I picked up along the way:
Tips
Always Merge 5 Items
In this game, merging 3 of the same items will produce 1 higher level item. But when 5 items are merged, it produces 2 higher level items. It may take longer to wait for 5 items and the board may get crowded, but it is more resource efficient.
Clear Quests
A list of quests appears on the left side of the board. They help you prioritize tasks since there are many things you can do. The rewards they give can be substantial. They also get progressively difficult.
There are also a list of daily tasks and weekly quests with rewards which are usually coins and gems.

Make Good Use of the Puppet Craftsman

Pieces of the puppet craftsman are produced through mining the various types of resources. Not sure what to do with them?
They merge into puppet craftsmen. Use them to fast track the building of Wonderland. Drop them on building items and they will complete it in no time. Do note that they do not mine, they only build.
Collect Daily Chests
Always collect the daily chests from the Shop. Tap and hold to see what they contain. These chests cannot be merged.
Spend Coins and Gems
I have a tendency to hoard coins and gems. Make timely purchases of ingredients (especially if it is on the Daily or Weekly quest board).
Level Progression
When you progress up the levels by doing all sorts of activities in the game, the fog in Wonderland is lifted one section at a time. The section is locked and require a certain number of keys to unlock.
Keys are produced by feeding Ally with the food created by the characters.
Ally’s main task is to “find” the characters by merging character pieces and rebuilding the dilapidated buildings by merging building materials. Both are produced by mining and clearing obstacles.
I am currently at Level 18. I have already built 6 characters.
White Queen and Foyer
White Queen was the easiest. Merge 3 chest pawns. Her “building” is a foyer. There are no building materials for it. Just clear some obstacles and a quest.
White Rabbit, Greenhouse, Epic Greenhouse, and Garden Objects
Character pieces for White Rabbit are watches. Resources include greenhouse planters and obstacles. The building material is wood that merged into parts for a greenhouse.
The building material for epic greenhouse is only found in reward chests from ranking events. The epic chests are usually the last chest in the lineup. It will give the most pieces so try to clear these events.
The garden upgrade requires wood and magic dust. Magic dust is produced by plants.
Mad Hatter, Tea Party, Epic Teapot, and Hat Shop’s Workbench
Character pieces for Mad Hatter are hats. Resources are teapot planters and obstacles that look like kitchen cabinets. The building material are teacups and teapots.
The building material for epic teapot is only found in reward chests from ranking events. The epic chests are usually the last chest in the lineup. It will give the most pieces so try to clear these events.
Cheshire Cat, Cheshire’s Home, Treehouse, and Cheshire’s Ship
Character pieces for Cheshire Cat are bells. Resources are fingerpost planters and obstacles that look like tree stumps. The building material are fingerposts.
The building material for Cheshire’s home is only found in reward chests from ranking events. The epic chests are usually the last chest in the lineup. It will give the most pieces so try to clear these events.

Duchess, Duchess’ Manor, and The Soup House
Character pieces for the Duchess are fans. Resources are Cauldron planters and obstacles. The building material are cauldrons.
Sheep and Sheep’s Shop
Character pieces for the Sheep are eyeglasses. Resources are Closet planters and obstacles. The building material are baskets that merged into closets.
Poker Gardener
Character pieces for Poker Gardener are paint brushes and pots of paint.
